” Hands are unbearably beautiful. They hold on to things. They let them go.”– Mary Ruefle-
Lessons from my mother:
Take care of your hands, Olesya. Never bite your nails. Always wear gloves when you do dishes and manual labor. For your hands tell the story of your life. They can’t lie and you can’t conceal the truth in the fine lines, the broken fingernails, and liver spots. When you use your hands remember they are the cover of your life’s book. Cherish them. Even when scrubbing the bathroom floor… don’t allow moments of labor and hardship be the first story people see. You are more than that. You are a Queen. One that can rise above any challenge. You have the hands of a Queen. Don’t forget that.
